Executive Summary

Buddhi has over 17 years of experience in various spheres. She started her career at HSBC as a Banking Assistant and also underwent her training at Ratnayake T. A. & Company. Buddhi was part of the IFRS advisory team of BDO and handled IFRS convergence projects for many affluent clients 2013. 

Buddhi won the World Top Paper Prize for Corporate Finance at the Final Level exams conducted by ABE UK (2002). She also won the Best Paper Presenter award at the Student Conference held in Kolkata (2013). She was the winner at CA Best Speaker competition in 2018 and first runner-up at AAT Best Speaker Competition in 2018. She was adjudged the Best Debater at AAT Debater in 2021. She was placed third in the International Speech Competition of Division E in 2021/2022 and second in Table Topics Competition in 2023/24. 

Currently she serves as a council member for ACCA Sri Lanka in the Member Network Panel. She is also the Co-Chair of the Member Advocacy Sub Committee. She is an honorary Director/Board Secretary at Eclof Lanka ( Guarantee) Limited since 2018. She has been involved in many committees at the Association of Accounting Technicians since 2016. At present she serves on the CPD Governance Committee at CA Sri Lanka. She has been the consultant for workshops on Financial Report writing for KC 5/CS 4 students at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka since 2018. A visiting lecturer at the Open University of Sri Lanka. 

Buddhi was adjudged the winner in Financial Management Corporate Sector Awards at NDB Araliya Vanithabimana Awards 2023 for her contribution to the profession.
